Litigation Readiness

Today’s business and personal environments are often accompanied by disagreements not resolved through deliberations, mediation, or compromise. In many cases, litigation arises resulting in a challenging new business or personal environment for the individuals involved. Unfortunately, previous and current information management practices may result in a loss of ability to adequately present one’s case or successfully legally defend an organization from the claims of others. Much of the success or failure during litigation can depend on the existence or absence of high quality  information management practices including general information governance policies, email management practices, data retention, and document preservation. An inability to have available for use or delivery to the courts needed information can result in sanctions, fines, and loss of case credibility.
